Hawaiian Islands that Cruises generally cover

A roundtrip Cruise to and from the Honolulu islands if taken from the West Coast will take you to the trip of islands of Oahu (Honolulu), Maui, Kauai, some Cruises dock at the Big Island which is actually the port of Kona or Hilo for a while and some Cruises also include the Fanning Island in the Republic of Kiribati depending upon the total duration of your Cruise.

Lanai and Molokai islands are included as shore excursions only from the mainland and at the most the stoppage is of few hours at both these locations with all the Cruises. On the other hand you can choose to take a repositioning cruise which may only take you to Oahu and Maui as far as the Hawaiian islands go but include many exotic destinations such as Bora Bora, Tahiti, Fiji and New Zealand.

If you are on an extended vacation you can take a cruise from the mainland West Coast at it shall eliminate hours of waiting for connecting flights or save you from taking an expensive one way flight itself. However, a cruise directly from the mainland shall add eight days at sea keep that in mind some people may not be comfortable with that many days in the sea, so make your pick carefully.

Some cruise lines also offer tickets to their originating location from wherever you live at discounted rates, so check with your Cruise line company and see if they have any such collaboration that could benefit you.
