Things to do in Honolulu

Honolulu is a five hours flight away from the West Coast and an eleven hours connecting flight away from the East Coast. You can also take a cruise ship to and fro or just jump in a one way flight (usually very expensive) to Honolulu and return on a cruise or the other way round. Once you actually get there and you are not planning on taking a cruise but are intending to spend time on the Oahu island itself which is more or less the place to be in Hawaii, there are a number of activities you can do on your own or with friends and family.

You can go whale watching or surfing on the stunning beaches of the North Shore to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Pearl Harbor. Whatever your age or interest may be, the Oahu island promises to have a variety of activities that shall appeal to your interests.

Most of the people forget that Oahu is not just the place where you land on a plane and then get on to a cruise ship, go around various islands and then debark from the cruise ship get on a plane and return home, Oahu is in the sense of it, Hawaii. It is the most beautiful and naturally rich island of the entire Hawaiian Islands chain. If you can afford the time, which you should plan to, Oahu is a place worth at least a week’s stay if not more. Preferably take a cruise from West Coast and reach Oahu at the end of the cruise, the only negative will be an expensive one side air ticket.
